The Whisky Exchange Three Bold January Exclusives

The Whisky Exchange Three Bold January Exclusives

UK spirits retailer The Whisky Exchange has opened 2026 with three January-only exclusive bottlings, spanning Scotch whisky, American bourbon, and Jamaican rum. Released this month across its online platform and London stores, the limited editions highlight experimental cask use, high-strength bottling, and small-batch craftsmanship.

The January lineup brings together a diverse trio, each chosen for its distinct character and scarcity. Leading the release is Torabhaig 2018 Scottish Oak Single Cask, an experimental Isle of Skye single malt finished for 16 months in Scottish oak. Bottled at a robust 58.7% ABV, it delivers layered notes of apple, coastal smoke, pine, black pepper, and dark chocolate. Released under Torabhaig’s Signature Reserve, just 251 bottles are available at £99.95.

From the US, Bardstown Bourbon Co. 8-Year-Old Single Barrel adds depth to the collection. Made with a mashbill of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley, the bourbon shows brown sugar sweetness, stewed fruit, and gentle rye spice. Bottled at 64.6% ABV, only 144 bottles were drawn from the cask, priced at £125.

Completing the trio is Hampden Estate HLCF 2023 Sherry Cask, a two-year-old Jamaican pot still rum matured in a sherry cask from Bodegas Fundador. At 64.6% ABV, it delivers classic Hampden funk, tropical fruit, sugarcane, and dried fruit notes, with 764 bottles released at £150.

Together, these January exclusives reflect The Whisky Exchange’s sharp eye for characterful spirits and collector appeal. With limited numbers and bold flavour profiles, the trio sets a confident tone for the retailer’s 2026 calendar—one that speaks directly to enthusiasts who value originality over volume.
