Upstate Elevator Launches Alcohol-Free THC Spirit for Dry January

US cannabinoid beverage producer Upstate Elevator has introduced its first alcohol-free THC ‘spirit’ for Dry January. Launched in January via the brand’s website, the Añejo Lime THC Spirit targets consumers seeking a cocktail-style experience without alcohol, blending flavour, function, and mindful drinking.

The new Añejo Lime THC Spirit marks a clear shift for Upstate Elevator, which until now has focused on gummies, capsules, tinctures, and THC sodas. Each 43ml serve delivers 10mg of THC, supported by 38mg of L-theanine, an ingredient often linked with calm and focus. The brand states that the combination is designed to create relaxed, easygoing moments rather than intense ones.

In terms of flavour, the alcohol-free ‘spirit’ leans into familiar cocktail cues. Expect smoky oak notes, lifted citrus freshness, and a gentle flicker of jalapeño heat. The liquid is versatile by design and can be enjoyed over ice, taken as a shot, or mixed into a mocktail.

Commenting on the launch, founder and CEO Dylan Raap said: “Consumers want alcohol-free options that still feel elevated, intentional, and fun. Our Añejo Lime THC Spirit is crafted for all the moments you’d typically pour a cocktail, just without the next-day drag.”

Priced at US$49.99 for a 750ml bottle, the expression is currently available online, with retail rollouts planned in Texas, New Jersey, and Tennessee.

As functional and cannabis-infused drinks gain ground, Upstate Elevator’s latest release taps into a growing shift. With 28% of consumers now viewing functional drinks as a true alternative to alcohol, zero-proof spirits like this are no longer niche—they’re part of how people choose to drink today.
