Elixir Trails Debuts with Cask-Strength Whiskies & Terroir-Led Rums
London-based independent bottler Elixir Distillers has launched The Elixir Trails series, a new global selection of standout whiskies and rums curated by managing director Sukhinder Singh. Rolled out in early 2026 through The Whisky Exchange, the initiative debuts with The Whisky Trail and The Rum Trail, aiming to spotlight distilleries and producers where quality, provenance, and craft matter more than hype.
The Trails series brings together spirits chosen for their individuality and sense of place. The Whisky Trail opens with four cask-strength (50%+ ABV) world whiskies—from Denmark’s Thy and England’s White Peak to Japan’s Chichibu (IPA-cask finished) and Westland in the US. The Rum Trail features five geographically diverse expressions, all bottled at 48% ABV, spanning Barbados, Jamaica, Belize, Australia, and Fiji. Each bottle carries a QR code linking to the Elixir Trails travelogue, giving drinkers deep dives into origin, production, and cask stories.
“Quality is far more important than reputation,” says Singh. “When we find something that stands out, we visit the distillery and nurture the spirit further—always preserving its character while letting it evolve.”
Available now at The Whisky Exchange, priced from £59.95 to £299 (approx. US$81–$402), in standard 700ml bottles across both trails.
